Maintenance Manager

JOB SUMMARYResponsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality.
Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the ethanol industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations or solving maintenance-related problems.
Establishes and maintains computerized maintenance management system (MapCon) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
Communicates regularly with maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure communication concerning maintenance issues.
Directs, maintains, and enforces the safety program for the maintenance department; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians.
SALARY$90K-$150K - commensurate with experienceRESPONSIBILITIES Assist with all plant maintenance to ensure the plant is run as efficient as possible Coordinate and perform general maintenance and housekeeping activities Troubleshoot problems Organize schedule for preventative maintenance and update system with repair information Prepare for scheduled shutdowns Perform inventory Order and maintain inventory of parts for the plant Organize and document storage locations of inventory Record part usage and report discrepancies to management Contact suppliers about needed parts Pick up local parts Maintain supplier relationships Follow all safety guidelines to ensure compliance Attend regular safety meetings Review SDS documentation Provide backup support to other crew members Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS 5
years of Maintenance experience Maintenance experience in Ethanol plant strongly preferred 1
